Hello everybody, i'm Neil and I have a bit of a compulsion when it comes to collecting things. Even from early childhood I had to have a collection of somesort. Starting from stamps and coins to pogs (remember those?) and trading cards. There was also sticker albums and airfix then moving into my teens it moved onto girls phone numbers. Things kind of halted when I left school and started working ,adults shouldn't really be collecting crap i thought. But then I started watching all the antique programmes on daytime tv and this is where my new intrest probably spawned.
Dispite having a keen intrest in old things in general for the last 8 years, ive never really done anything about it untill recently. I never went to my first antique auction untill my 25th birthday where i brought an antique fob watch which i will display on a link in the sidebar. Hopefully in time that link will showcase a growing collection due to my new venture in selling vintage items on ebay. I picked up a lot of cheap items a few monthes ago with the intention of selling at car boots but due to me working weekends this wouldnt be very feasable. So ebay was the natural option, and once I sold one item I was hooked.
My first item was this stratton compact i picked up for £1 and sold for £4.70 (total profit was about £2.90) but thats still a decent mark up on something i found burried in a box hidden in a corner. Typical i crnt find the picture will upload it later.
Currently selling 6 more items anyway which will end within the hour.
2 poker books sold for £11.50
silver plate knife didnt sell despite watchers
rolex spoon £1.70 made small profit
cigerette case £1 break even depite plenty of watchers
churchill coin 0.70p should have started at 0.90 as had only 1 watcher but still small profit
Going to list my items for 7 days now instead of 3 and hopefully it should help gain watchers and bids, not too dissapointed though. Got plenty more coins to list next and the knife has already been relisted.
